Funny scene in classical setting soft light and fog

Bridge of death. Thought this was a good image for a softer classical look to a funny scene with fog. It doesn't have to be bright.  This is what I meant by---what are we going for???

Do we want a classical, gradient color, subtle, realistic palette OR

Brightly lit blocks of color like the game show stuff?

Can we commit to one or the other for a production whole, or are some scenes like this and others like the Price is Right? These are hugely different styles, and I can't yet tell from the discussions and thumbnails which we are committing to.
